The Mission of Animal Rescue of Rochester Inc. is to:
I. Educate the Public:
A. Make people aware of the importance of spaying or neutering
their pets.
B. Make people aware of the numbers of homeless pets.
C. Educate children about responsible pet ownership through
direct school contact.
D. Make people aware of the numbers of animals and strays
that are euthanized each year.
II. Provide Food,Shelter,and Medical Attention to
Homeless Animals by:
A. Having Animal Control Officers and Volunteers work
within the community to advertise
and place animals in new homes.
B. Fund raising to defray costs.
C. Having active membership drives.
III. Referral and
Resource Service to the Community:
A. Have Wildlife Rehabilitators on call to assist with
wildlife conservation, placement and questions.
B. Provide referrals on spaying and neutering clinics
and vouchers.
C. Notify people of rabies clinics in their areas.
D. Connect with Law Enforcement if the need arises.
IV. Follow Through after Adoptions:
A. Ensure the new owner has the animal altered.
B. Periodic call back to the new home to offer advice
ect.
C. Ensure the placement is sound.
V. Ensure that all Animals Receive Assistance:
A. AR of Rochester Inc. will provide assistance to all
animals. Including: cats, dogs, reptiles,
rabbits, hamsters, mice, etc.
B. If we can not help,we will find a resource that can.
C. Educate the public on exotic or non-typical pets.
