Lindsay Collier founded Creative Edge Associates 10 years ago to create the state of the art in new thinking regarding creativity and innovation for organizations.
There are few that would not say that creativity and innovation are of major important to the future of organizations. But the interest in this area has tended to attract many well meaning, but relatively clueless, overnight wonder consultants. The real need is for an understanding of how to create real changes in the dynamics of organizations that free up the creative capacity within.
The techniques and thinking process used at Creative Edge Associates are different in several ways:

• We don’t believe breakthrough change has to be a painful experience. As a matter of fact one of our main goals is to help organizations create breakthrough change - and have a lot of fun in the process!
• We believe creativity, innovation, and breakthrough change come about through a shifting of the dynamics that allow for the creation of a climate of curiosity in an organization. Creation of a highly innovative organization is a journey and not something that happens overnight. Creative processes and future scouting processes are great partners.
• Lindsay has been a futurist for years and one of the few that have taken strides to combine these techniques. Using creative process without a strong future orientation will result in simply pushing today forward which is not nearly as powerful as being pulled to a desired breakthrough future.
• Real creativity and innovation comes from creating incredible stretches into the unknown. The majority of organizations eagerly accept some rather ho-hum advances as being quite creative. Most external creativity consultants do not know how to really provide the maximum stretch necessary and it is rare that internal consultants can even come close - because they are part of the system that limits the thinking in the first place.
