Advocacy is as important today as it was a year ago, five years ago, or even longer than that.  Not only do School Librarians work to educate students, we also spend time working with faculty and staff to make our services known.

Who else needs to know about our work?  Legislators. 

It is easy to send your support of school libraries to NYS legislators.  Go to the NYLA homepage at http://www.nyla.org.  Click on the red rectangle that says Contact Your Legislators.  Completing this three minute process will generate a fax from you to your legislators - and it is FREE.
