This year, all RASL meetings will be held after each scheduled RASL program. If you are on the board, including all District Representatives, please plan on attending from 5:30-6:15 PM. ~All RASL members are welcome at RASL meetings~
The 2006-2007 RASL Calendar: October 3, 2006 ~ 5:00 PM ~ Webster Schroeder HS Executive Board Meeting. District Reps do not need to attend.
November 1, 2006 ~ 7:00-8:30PM ~ Calkins Road Middle School Library, Pittsford Phil Yeh! Come meet Cartoonist Across America Founder, and author, Phil Yeh. He travels the country using his artwork and humor to promote literacy, the environment, creativity and other positive issues.
December 5, 2006 ~ Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House
January 25, 2007 ~ A sharing program at Tully's in Henrietta. 5:30PM. NO BOARD MEETING TODAY.
February 8, 2007 ~ 4:00-5:30 PM ~ St. John Fisher College Kathi Sigler, Instructional Librarian, will lead us in a conversation for K-12 librarians and what our students should be learning in school. THERE WILL BE A BOARD MEETING TODAY - OPEN TO ALL RASL MEMBERS

May 1, 2007 ~ Collaborating with Public Libraries Eastridge High School Library from 4:15 - 5:30 PM RASL Board meeting (open to all) at 5:30PM.
The program features: Alicia VanBorssum and Eillen Hauser. Alicia, an ESOL teacher at Craig Road School, is working with author Jane Kurtz on a literacy project for children in Ethiopia. She will be teaching the use of picture books to help children learn to read. The organization has already opened 12 libraries for children in Addis Abada and neighboring communities. Alicia has a fascinating story to share with us! Eileen is one of the children’s librarians at the Pittsford Community Library and will be talking with us about how we, as school librarians, can support and promote our public libraries’ summer reading programs.
There will be a RASL Board meeting immediately following the program. (It is very important that ALL RASL BOARD MEMBERS ATTEND.)
