This is the official web page of the Rochester Police Emerald Society in Rochester, NY.

The goals of the RPES are as follows :

Promote a sense of pride in our Gaelic heritage.

Foster camaraderie, brotherhood and fellowship amongst our members from numerous law enforcement agencies across the Rochester area.

To aid law enforcement and Irish charities and organizations.

The first Emerald Society was established in 1953 in New York City. The primary Goal at the time was to inculcate and preserve in its members the heritage of their Gaelic culture. Since that time, numerous Emerald Societies have been established nationwide. Membership within these various Emerald Societies now exceeds 25,000 members.

Members of the Rochester Police Department founded the Rochester Police Emerald Society (RPES) in 2008. The Emerald Society is a social, fraternal, and cultural organization. We are a non-profit multi-agency organization with members from more than 19 federal, state and local agencies from the Rochester metropolitan area.
